  • You have reviewed the smart contract code or accept its logic as-is

Platform Overview

PeetBet is a non-custodial, peer-to-peer betting platform built on blockchain technology. We provide the infrastructure for users to bet against each other with provably fair randomness.

What PeetBet IS

  • • A peer-to-peer betting facilitator
  • • A smart contract-based escrow system
  • • A provably fair randomness provider (via Chainlink VRF)
  • • A non-custodial platform (you control your funds)

What PeetBet is NOT

  • • A custodian of your funds
  • • Responsible for your betting decisions
  • • A licensed gambling operator in any jurisdiction
  • • Able to reverse blockchain transactions

Coin Flip Game Rules

Coin Flip is a 1v1 peer-to-peer game with true 50/50 odds. No house edge.

Game Mechanics

  • Two players bet equal amounts against each other
  • Winner is determined by Chainlink VRF (verifiable random function)
  • Winner receives both stakes (minus any applicable withdrawal fee on profit)
  • Creator can cancel room before opponent joins; after join, game must complete

All randomness is generated on-chain using Chainlink VRF v2.5. You can verify any result on the blockchain explorer.

Dice Game Rules

Multiplayer dice game with 3 to 100 players. Custom odds and risk levels.

Player Limits

  • Minimum 3 players: Game cannot start with fewer than 3 participants
  • Maximum 100 players: For gas efficiency and fair gameplay

50% Capacity Leave Rule

To prevent game sabotage, players cannot leave once a room exceeds 50% capacity:

  • • Example: In a 10-player max room, you cannot leave once there are 6+ players
  • • Example: In a 7-player max room, you cannot leave once there are 5+ players (rounds up)
  • • Once game starts (VRF requested), NO player can leave or cancel

48-Hour Stale Room Recovery

To prevent stuck funds if a room creator abandons a waiting room:

  • • If a room remains in 'Waiting for Players' status for 48+ hours, it becomes 'stale'
  • • ANY participant in a stale room can cancel it and trigger refunds for all players
  • • This protects players from being stuck indefinitely in abandoned rooms

Room Creator Privileges

  • Creator can cancel room at any time BEFORE game starts (refunds all players)
  • Creator can start game early once minimum players (3) have joined
  • Creator sets bet amount, max players, and whether room is private

Smart Contract Risks

PeetBet operates entirely through smart contracts on the blockchain. While we have tested extensively, smart contracts carry inherent risks:

  • Smart contracts may contain undiscovered bugs despite testing
  • Blockchain transactions are irreversible - errors cannot be undone
  • Network congestion may delay transactions or increase gas costs
  • External dependencies (Chainlink VRF) may experience downtime

Our contracts are verified and open source. You can review the code at: View on Block Explorer

User Responsibility

DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH (DYOR)

  • Review the smart contract code before depositing significant amounts
  • Understand probability and expected outcomes of each game
  • Set personal limits and never bet more than you can afford to lose
  • Keep your wallet secure - we cannot recover lost private keys
  • Report any suspicious activity or potential vulnerabilities responsibly
